From Wednesday 14th October there are new rules in our area.. Only groups (no more than six) from ONE household or bubble can sit together. You cannot mix with anyone outside of your household or bubble indoors.. When entering, leaving or moving around inside the restaurant face masks must be worn. Full information can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own
You are exempt from wearing a face mask:
"when seated to eat or drink in a hospitality premise such as a pub, bar, restaurant or cafe. You must put a face covering back on once you finish eating or drinking."
Therefore, at Salt we ask all customers (who are not exempt from wearing a face covering) to do so when entering the restaurant and keep it on until you have ordered. You may then remove your face covering, but must put it back on if you leave your table.
We will do everything possible to minimise the risk of Covid19 at Salt by rigorously following guidelines set out by the government and those within our sector. Below is a list of some of the practices we will be implementing to ensure the safety and well-being of both our staff and our wonderful customers.
* extra cleaning on top of our regular cleaning schedules.. * hand sanitisers at the entrance, in the toilet, bar and kitchen. * laminated menus that can be disinfected after each use. * individual single use condiment sachets. * straining in hand-washing at 20/30 minute intervals. * PPE where necessary for staff members. * reduced staff levels. * reduced menu items to minimise the risk of cross contamination.
During this time of confusion and unpredictability we ask that you be patient and understanding with us. We will be experiencing a whole new way of operating which will, most probably, not sit well with some people. We do not choose to make these changes but are doing them to conform with new legislation and to keep everyone safe. Please respect our staff and understand we are merely doing what we are advised in order to keep our business afloat.
